This is my evaluation question 5 answered using the Youtube annotation tool.
We don't have any trailers, posters, DVD sleeves, social media and full websites. These are key aspects of distribution as they market the film and creates buzz amongst the targeted audience. I f we had more time we would have utilised all of these to help the success of our film. Many films even have teaser trailer before the release of the main trailer for example Pitch Perfect 2 ( teaser trailer). Working Title and their distributors can afford to spend more on marketing, as they need to at their high budget to help make back a profit, but even Indies can do this well if they’re smart for example Le Donk and Scor-zay-zee's downloadable Xmas cards.
Included is how we have attracted our audience by using:
- mise-en-scene
- music
- voiceover
- character
- locations
- titles
- framing
- shot types
- depth of field
